How to Pain a Room

It is not hard to learn how to pain a room. All you need to do it is fallow these steps. First, move your furniture. Remove or cover lights, switch plates, drapes or pictures. Cover your floor with drop cloths only. Second, prepare surfaces. Remove all nails or tapes from the wall. Scrape or sand loose paint. Then, fill holes with compound. Never apply any more than you need. If you have a big hole, you should use spot prime patches. While the compound is drying you can start dusting off the trim and star taping it. By know the compound should be dry and you can start to sand all the patches. Once all the patches are sanded you can start prime the walls. Third, prime and paint the walls. Choose all purpose latex prime (it is inexpensive) and apply with a brush, a roller or paint sprayer. Let the primer dry for 24 hours. As soon as you have finished prime the wall completely, you are know ready for the last step. Paint into all the corners, around the doors and windows. Pour some paint into the roller pan and roll away on the ceiling and the wall. Give the paint 24 hours to dry. Finally, you can clean up and move all furniture back.
